Communication among the members of our school community is nearly paperless. We use many technological resources for communicating with students and their families.
Edline
Edline is the main provider of intra-school communication for faculty, parents and students. Edline is a web-based portal to host general school information as well as classroom, team, club and committee web pages that contain the daily, mission-critical information families need. This includes:
- Private, secure student-specific reports, such as missing homework assignments, daily grades and attendance.
- Class–specific content, such as homework assignments, test dates, resources and photographs.
- Team, club and other group specific material, such as practice schedules, and committee meetings.
- General school information, such as news, daily announcements, and special events.
- Each family/student receives an individual access code so the Edline experience is tailored to the individual student or family.
Alert Now The AlertNow automated telephone system allows the school to communicate with members of our school community in a rapid fashion. The entire parent population can be called within a matter of minutes with a pre-recorded message. This system is invaluable in emergencies. It also allows our school to contact families in the event of bus breakdowns, changes in school events and general information.
Anchor The Anchor is a quarterly newsletter sent home to parents that includes information about past, present and future events happening at St. Pius. Information about wishes granted and other additions to curriculum and technology are also showcased in this newsletter.
Monday Minder The Monday Minder is a weekly e-mail news brief, distributed to parents every Monday. It includes announcements about events on the school calendar.
