2011 SEASON OF HOPE ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN
“Through Him we have gained access by faith to the grace in which we now stand, and we boast of our hope for the glory of God. And this hope will not leave us disappointed, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5: 2, 5
St. Pius Elementary School, centered in the Eucharist, is a school built on faith. And where there is faith there is hope. This year, during our Season of Hope, we celebrate 730 reasons for hope – our students. We realize that the cost of education continues to rise in the United States but we hope, and trust, in the Lord that the needs of our precious students will be met and we will be able to consistently provide quality education for our students while focusing on the Eucharistic reality. Tuition and fees account for 91% of the school’s income, with recurring income accounting for another 1%. The remaining 9% can be directly attributed to the generosity of parents, grandparents, St. Pius X parishioners, and benefactors who support the school’s annual fund and PTO fundraisers.
The Annual Giving Campaign gives you, our cherished supporters, the opportunity to invest not only in our children but in the school mission. You may choose to direct your gifts to any of the four key areas integral to the continued success and growth of St. Pius Elementary School.
*ACADEMIC MASTERY St. Pius Elementary provides academic programs that far exceed that which is provided in textbooks alone. A great deal of time, effort, and expertise is invested in our instructing and assessing our students’ needs and performances. Data-driven assessment provides the faculty/staff the tools to enable each child to succeed through skill mastery at all levels.
*TECHNOLOGY Integration of technology into the classroom is imperative to achieve true 21st century instruction. St. Pius Elementary continues to further integrate technology into all levels of instruction so that students will be fully prepared to excel in today’s world. On-line resources, Discovery science instructional program, parent/teacher communications, portable laptop labs, classroom software, and interactive whiteboards are but a few of the tools currently utilized. As we are all well aware, technology is ever-evolving thus our students’ needs ever-increasing.
*TUITION ASSISTANCE GRANTS Unfortunately, each year SPES families meet with unexpected financial hardship which leaves them unable to fulfill their tuition responsibility. As we strive to live our mission to bring the presence of Christ to others, we assist those families by providing one-time assistance through these need-based grants
*ST. PIUS ENDOWMENT FUND This trust fund was established with the future of the school in mind. All funds are invested perpetually with the sole intention of only the interest ever being used. The St. Pius Endowment Fund provides the donor the opportunity to invest today for our children’s tomorrow.
