Dear Parents,
Searching for the right school and environment for your children is one of the most important decisions you as a parent must make. Your decision will profoundly influence your children. As you consider the options, we hope to provide you with information about our school and our programs.
St. Pius Elementary School is first and foremost a Catholic school. Children are immersed in the Liturgical life of the Church. Students participate in weekly liturgical services and grade-level prayer services. Fifth through eighth grade students participate in class retreats. Each classroom creates an environment that supports prayer and Catholic values.
Our academic programs are student-centered with special emphasis on building strong foundations, engaging students in the learning process, and providing avenues of creativity. Hands-on activities are good, but hands-on, minds-on activities bring students to higher levels of thinking and application. The fine arts are an important part of our school. St. Pius Elementary School has a band, a chorus, and an art program. Our fine arts program provides opportunities for students to build skills beginning in Pre-K4 and continuing with elective options for middle school students. As we add middle school, we also add extra-curriculum activities, clubs and athletics.
We have an incredible staff and great students. Our parents value education and support the school with their time and talents. Come and see what we have and how we are growing. Let us share our spirit with you.
Thank you for taking time to hear our story and see our school. Please do not hesitate to ask questions. We want you to have all the information you need as you discern what is best for your children. May God give you insight and the presence of the Spirit as you decide which school can best help your child become the person God calls him/her to become.
Sincerely,
Donna M. Lemaire
