St. Pius Elementary School successfully completed our COGNIA accreditation review and scored exceptionally high. We are thrilled to announce that St. Pius Elementary School has been recognized as one of only 96 schools in the United States to receive an award for excellence. COGNIA, the international organization dedicated to school improvement, conducted 1,500 school engagement accreditation reviews during the 2021-2022 school year, and SPES has been honored as a “School of Distinction.” COGNIA President and CEO, Mark A. Elgart, stated, “Congratulations to the 2022 Schools and Systems of Distinction for demonstrating excellence in education in meeting the COGNIA Performance Standards. Based on the results of their 2021-2022 accreditation reviews, each of these schools and systems has shown evidence of growth in learning, a healthy culture for learning, engaging and high-quality instructional environments, and effective leadership for learning.”
