Spirituality

The mission of St. Pius Elementary School comes to life each day through a variety of faith-formation activities that nurture the spiritual growth of our students, faculty, and staff. Mass is held once a week, bringing the entire school community together to celebrate the Eucharist and strengthen our collective faith. Daily prayer is an integral part of our school day, with all grades participating in prayer and having the option to pray in designated spaces within their classrooms throughout the day. Class retreats are regularly organized for grades 6th through 8th, providing students with opportunities to deepen their relationship with God, nurture their spiritual lives, connect with fellow students, and reflect on their purpose. Feast days are observed throughout the year, commemorating and recognizing holy days of obligation and allowing our community to come together in celebration and reverence.

As pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church and our school chancellor, Father James Brady brings the presence of Christ to our students, faculty, administration, and SPES families through every encounter they have on campus and off.  Whether it is through celebrating weekly Mass, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament each month, hearing student and faculty/staff confessions, attending School Advisory Council meetings and SPES school events, or interacting with parents and students during early morning drop off, Father Brady inspires the members of the church and school community and generously gives of himself in service to others.
