LOWER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS

St. Pius Elementary School is looking for energetic lower elementary school teachers who are passionate about education and excited about bringing hands-on, dynamic instruction to students for the 2019-2020 school year.   Applicants must be certified by the LA Department of Education and have an understanding of the stages of child development, early childhood practices and a strong technology skill set. A working knowledge of the workshop method of instruction is preferred.

MIDDLE SCHOOL LANGUAGE ARTS

TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION COORDINATOR

St. Pius Elementary School is looking for a highly motivated Technology Integration Coordinator who has at least five years of experience in the use of classroom technology, a broad understanding of technology, education and management and is proficient in Google Suite, including Google Classroom.  The person applying for this position must have the ability to serve as a positive advocate for technology in the classoom as he/she is charged with the development, implementation and updating of the St. Pius Elementary School Technology Plan.  The Technology Integration Coordinator will also be responsible for professional development for teachers and assisting teachers, staff and students with their technology needs. 

Qualifications:  Louisiana Teaching Certification (K-8) with a Masters in Curriculum, Technology or Educational Leadership preferred.

EXTENDED CARE SUPERVISOR

St. Pius Elementary School is looking for an energetic individual interested in the administration and supervision of its After School program.  The person applying for this position should be able to manage and supervise the full scope of the program including, but not limited to, hiring training and leading a team of qualified aftercare workers, carrying out day to day administration of the aftercare program including keeping of proper records, budgeting, billing information, purchasing and other administrative tasks.  The Extended Care supervisor will also be responsible for providing safe, high quality care for the children within the extended care program while being responsible for its day to day organization, operation and administration.

The person applying for this part time position should have some level of administrative and supervisory experience.  This individual should also be First Aid and CPR-certified or eligible for certification.

  St. Pius Elementary School, PreK – 8th grade school, is looking for energetic substitute teachers passionate about education and excited about bringing hands-on, dynamic instructions to students at their levels of certification.  All applicants must be certified by the LA Department of Education. .
